Cargo Operations Officer (f/m/d)

We are seeking a Cargo Operations Officer (f/m/d) to join our Hamburg office on a fixed-term basis.
Your responsibilities:
In general: Very close cooperation with the teams at our centralized internal service center, on agency level (vessel operations, cargo readiness, transhipment, customer service), on head-office level (line operaration teams, cargo flow teams) and further vendors & partners (husbandry agent, terminal operators, APL, OA and other partner lines)
- Handling information requests from our centralized internal service center in case of questions/ issues with cargo operation matters in German ports
- Monitoring a reliable cargo operation execution from our centralized internal service center in line with the service level agreement
- Focal point for handling/ delegating special and sensitive cargo requests for German ports
- Preparing and updating various cargo related operations reports for German ports
- Being responsible for operational execution and coordination in regards to container/ cargo safety and security incidents incl. damaged container & cargo
- Handling various projects with internal and external stakeholders with focus on cargo operation matters in German ports
- Providing backup support for the monitoring and analysis of port call reports
You bring aboard:
- Certified shipping agent (Schifffahrtskaufmann/-frau)/ forwarding merchant (Speditionskaufmann/-frau) or degree in shipping and logistics
- Experience within shipping or forwarding industry/ or container terminals
- Proficient user of computer systems, with the ability to utilize MS software applications in a Windows environment
- Fluent proficiency in spoken and written English
- Stress-resistance and ability to work under pressure to keep on deadlines
- Ability to work with multiple departments and manage projects
- Very good analytical skills and ability to report and work with high volume of data/ information
- Ability to learn and adapt to a changing environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain a professional demeanour
