Service Delivery Booking Officer (f/m/d)

For our offices in Hamburg and Bremen we are recruiting a: Service Delivery Booking Officer (f/m/d)

 

 

Your role

 

As a Service Delivery Senior Booking Officer, you will be responsible for the reliable handling of customer booking and amendment requests. You will ensure that bookings and customer-requested changes are implemented correctly, promptly, and in accordance with internal guidelines. In doing so, you will work closely with ILS, Sales, and other stakeholders to ensure high service quality and customer satisfaction.

 

 

Your responsibilities

 

  • Processing, checking, integrating, and confirming customer bookings while taking routing, quotation, allocation, equipment, haulage, and relevant freight information into account
  • Carrying out changes to existing bookings based on customer requests, including adjustments, cancellations, and relevant updates within the defined process and system boundaries
  • Ensuring correct and complete booking data, including checking payment/freight information, quotation validity, payer information, and required process steps
  • Handling internal RFIs from GBS
  • Crossfunctional coordination with internal teams such as GBS, ILS, Customer Service, and other relevant departments to drive the prompt resolution of booking and process-related matters
  • Participation in and ownership of booking process-related projects with the aim of sustainably improving workflows, quality, transparancy, or efficiency in the booking process, in close collaboration with GBS, Sales, ILS, and other relevant stakeholders
  • Identifying risks, process deviations, and improvement potential, and actively supporting their resolution

 

 

You bring aboard

 

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent University Degree and/or Apprenticeship in shipping
  • Strong Knowledge in Shipping (minimum 5 years of experience in liner shipping)
  • Very good German and English language skills (written and spoken) 
  • Great customer facing skills with ability to build and nurture relationships
  • Knowledge of commercial policy and offers, of dangerous / special cargo or commodity, of port / country regulations, of the legal and / or regulatory frame
  • Skills in risk detection and prevention
  • Excellent communication Skills
  • Basic proficiency with MS Office
