Logistics Executive (Temporary 6 months)

THE ROLE

This role is to manage the empty container flow to achieve the KPIs.

 

 WORK RELATIONSHIP

  • Internal: Customer Care, Accounting, Sales Department
  • External: Depot, terminals, vendors.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Consolidate daily stock from Depot/Terminals, cross check with system and provide daily stock report.
  • Follow up with suppliers to clear the empty idle containers. Remind supplier to follow FIFFO, escalate to Logistics Manager to have appropriate action in case supplier fails to do.
  • Co-ordinate with Shared Service Center to have container tracking updated in system.
  • CPR, daily stock, weekly idle, monthly gate in/out, monthly lifting and others required by Logistics Manager.
  • Perform the depot inventory on a monthly or quarterly basis depending on service quality.
  • Order service, follow up progress, issue order to facilitate the payment.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFILE

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree; major in Sea Transportation, Export- Import, International Business, Foreign Trade, International Business, ...
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a similar position in a shipping company or freight forwarder
  • Good knowledge of Logistics - Equipment control
  • Attention to details
  • Discipline, process oriented
  • Ability to work independently under pressure to meet goals and deadlines
  • Good container skills, advanced in Excel
  • Good in English both written and verbal
