Local BCO Sales Manager

Role & Responsibilities :
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of Outside Sales Representative, fostering a culture of energy, accountability, and performance excellence,
- Drive new customer acquisition, focusing on direct engagement with importers, exporters, and other BCOs and build long-term business relationships with customers’ decision-makers,
- Conduct joint field visits and regular customer engagements to coach and support reps in real commercial situations
- Apply strategic sales methodologies, including value-based selling, solution selling, and structured objection handling,
- Monitor and analyze market trends, customer data, and sales performance to identify growth opportunities,
- Ensure continuous improvement of customer experience, service quality, and retention,
- Drive execution of commercial strategy aligned with national and regional objectives,
- Forecast sales and manage commercial performance through strong pipeline management and CRM usage (opportunity tracking, win/loss analysis)
- Mentor and support the team, promoting professional development and high-impact leadership, manage performance of the team through KPIs, and structured feedback,
- Promote VAS opportunities (sustainability products, cargo care, serenity, etc),
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager and Regional Office to report results, share insights, and ensure alignment on strategic direction.
Qualitifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferably in Logistics, Maritime Studies, International Trade, or Business Administration),
- 5–10 years of people management or supervisory role experience in the shipping, logistics, or maritime industry, preferably in a commercial or business development role,
- Inspirational people manager with ability to motivate, coach, challenge and grow sales talent,
- Deep understanding of shipping line trade structures (allocations, equipment, scheduling, pricing, etc.),
- Demonstrated track record in hunting and developing new business pipelines,
- Strong commercial planning and forecasting capability using CRM (preferably Salesforce or similar),
- Strong B2B negotiation and objection-handling, and consultative selling skills,
- Analytical, data-driven mindset with strong business acumen,
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage effectively with customers and senior stakeholders, and presentation capability, including business storytelling,
- Highly energetic, proactive, and results-focused professional with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment,
- Fluency in written & verbal English is a must (part of the interview will take place in English).
