Trade Manager

Role & Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Commercial Director to finalize trade budgets and review quarterly forecasts.

Identify new trade opportunities and optimize pricing, services, and overall trade profitability.

Consolidate cross-functional insights to update management on market dynamics, competition, customer/commodity trends, and supplier conditions.

Prepare weekly commercial forecasts, monitor performance, and recommend corrective actions.

Analyze MID/CRM data and provide actionable insights to support commercial decision-making.

Coordinate with Lines on allocations and make decisions on booking stops, capacity adjustments, and rollovers.

Track allocation adherence, identify volume gaps, and advise Sales and HO teams for timely rate actions.

Support Sales with trade intelligence, capacity updates, equipment needs, customer segmentation, and pricing strategies.

Participate in tenders and contribute to commercial policy development.

Ensure compliance with company policies while strengthening collaboration across Trade, Sales, and related teams.

Lead the country’s commercial strategy, including budgeting, action planning, and growth priorities.
Skills and Qualifications:
- University degree, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Logistics, Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in container shipping, liner trade management, pricing, allocation planning, or commercial strategy within the maritime logistics industry.
- Strong commercial acumen with proven experience in trade management, market & competitor analysis, customer behavior insights, and segment-driven pricing strategies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with HO/Lines, Sales, Operations, Finance, and external partners.
- Strategic and forward-thinking mindset, capable of building sustainable, scalable commercial solutions aligned with overall trade objectives.
- High sense of ownership and strong results orientation, with the ability to take initiative, make data‑driven decisions, and follow through on actions.
- Collaborative team player, comfortable working cross‑functionally, influencing without authority, and contributing to collective commercial goals.
- Advanced analytical and reporting capabilities, with strong command of data interpretation, forecasting, and performance monitoring tools (Excel/Power BI is a plus).
- Fluency in written and spoken English (part of the interview will be conducted in English).
