Sales Development Specialist - CMA CGM Guinea-Bissau

YOUR ROLE
Reporting hierarchically to the Managing Director and functionally to the Cluster Chief Commercial Officer, your mission is to align the company's customer-centric strategies with its overall business goals, driving customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO
Commercial Development and Customer Management
- Manage and develop the customer portfolio, identifying growth opportunities and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain a customer portfolio through market and competitor monitoring, customer prospecting, sales promotion, and regular reporting.
- Actively and regularly meet with customers according to the frequency determined, ensuring close follow-up and relationship building.
- Promote the company’s products and services to existing and potential customers.
- Inform customers on the status of their containers regarding loading and transshipment ports, logistics services, and port operations.
Sales Strategy and Performance Monitoring
- Contribute to the development of the sales budget and ensure that objectives are met.
- Develop and implement commercial actions aligned with the Group’s objectives.
- Analyze market statistics on a regular basis and report to Management.
- Ensure reporting and provide analysis and comments for the monthly Commercial Dashboard.
- Regularly report sales results, market insights, and business updates to General Management and the Regional Office.
- Ensure the proper use of commercial management tools and maintain accurate, updated reporting.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Preferably master's degree (Bac +5) specializing in Transport and Logistics, Marketing and Sales, Economics and Management, or Statistics
- At least five (05) years of professional experience in a similar role with proven results
- Solid knowledge of the shipping industry and significant experience in liner shipping
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex business scenarios to customers and management
- Demonstration of professional demeanor, positive attitude, and ability to manage stress through challenging situations
- Analytical mindset with ability to use data to dive decision making
- High levels of rigor, organization, proactivity, self-control, punctuality, interpersonal skills, boldness, creativity, leadership, communication, and influence.
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Bilingual fluency in French and English, ensuring effective communication with clients and all internal stakeholders
