CMA Terminals is a port operator used to develop, design, build, own and operate terminals and dry docks. CMA Terminals welcomes CMA CGM lines but also invites all shipping companies to develop terminals and offer a top quality service.
Summary:
The position is responsible for all vessels’ planning by coordinating with each alliance partner, up/down stream concerned parties and central planner to provide the most correct & reliable inbound & outbound files for yard TT plan and shipside vessel operation.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Coordinate with central planner of each line for stowage planning and follow stowage instruction, pattern and special requirement to ensure each vessel pre-stowage plan with maximum container loading and safety sailing stability condition.
2. Create/update vessel define, port code and service lane rotation by necessary exact information.
3. Ship particulars building and updating.
4. Input arrival data (Baplie) in CASP system and upload to CATOS through EDI system without error message also upload to MTNet, then update important stowage information including
DG/Reefer/OOG/COD/BB…etc.
5. Confirm arrival draft and discharge plan to decide creating restow containers for operation convenience and get approval from central planner.
6. Provide necessary data including handling summary, manifest, certificate and other specific information to chief officer or master.
7. According to container yard location to provide excellent bay plan for shipside operation and adjust it timely to meet operation need like as CT, OOG, late come or other special request and
satisfy chief mate’s requirement for DG segregation, RF plugging, lashing force, weight distribution.
8. Departure EDI file to finalize in CATOS system, vessel operation stowage. papers/documentation filed and management to ensure all in good order to avoid any loss or service failure and
provide them to vessel operator & MTNet.
9. Identify accurate routing of containers for billing purpose and co-work with finance team to make sure terminal handling charge be collected correctly.
10. Identify container restow account and solve billing charge problem.
11. Familiarity with new operation system, test and maintain carefully.
12. Guide stowage team included vendor to be familiar with CATOS and monitor their learning status in daily work, also find out any irregular data caused by system or human error, and report
to TSB or management team.
13. Arrange vessel berthing plan and create vessel working sequence then remarks the key points of operation to stevedore foreman before operation.
14. Monitor vessel operation and supervise/direct stevedore foreman during operation to well management productivity.
15. After vessel operation, preview the operation report from stevedore foreman and recommend if needed.
16. Ensure daily work order to venders to well arrange manpower.
Qualification and Experiences: 1.Bachelor’s degree or above. 2.Major in navigation, transportation management or related fields. 3. At least 3 year terminal operation or related fields experience 4. Knowledge of related terminal operation such as shipside/yard operation procedure, OOG/DG/damage container handling. 5. Familiar with terminal operation system (CATOS/ /CASP) 6. Good Command of English language and PC skills
