Position Overview:
The Finance Generalist Manager ensures the organization operates with robust financial governance, operational efficiency, and strategic financial insight, supporting sustainable growth while maintaining full compliance with Group policies and local regulatory requirements.
The role supports and manages multiple finance sub-functions including accounting, business and cost controlling, and corporate finance activities such as taxation and treasury.
The position plays a critical role in shaping the organization’s financial strategy, supervising financial operations, and partnering closely with the executive leadership team to support key investment and financing decisions that drive long-term business success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, submit and analyze accounting and financial information that are accurate, reliable and compliant with local rules and Group financial processes and procedures (IFRS, etc.)
- Assure the application of Group financial rules and procedures (customer collection, treasury, working capital, financing)
- Lead the budget and periodic forecasting with the Management and ensure its monitoring and as business partner support the Management in all development and optimization projects of the entity/ies.
- Serve as a reference for local authorities in his scope of responsibilities: external auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities (and other external bodies) and for Group internal departments
- Work closely with Operations, Commercial, and Customer Service teams to ensure proper revenue recognition and cost allocation
- Propose, implement, monitor all necessary actions to reach performance targets (KPI) set up by the Group and contribute to the optimization of financial processes
- Lead and develop the local finance team, ensuring strong financial capability and adherence to Group standards.
- Ensure strict adherence and the correct application of Group financial policies and internal control procedures. Identify and escalate fraud, compliance, or internal control issues to management and Group Finance when necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
- MBA or professionally qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, or Cost & Management Accountant (CMA).
- 8–12 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role, preferably within shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, or multinational organizations.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS), internal controls, and financial governance frameworks.
- Experience in budgeting, financial planning, treasury management, and performance analysis.
Skills:
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
- High level of integrity and ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP or equivalent) and advanced Excel skills.
- Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication.
