Senior Executive, Cost Control

Job Purpose/Summary

Cost Control Executive is responsible for supporting the verification, monitoring, and control of operational, transport, and logistics costs. The role involves reviewing invoices, identifying discrepancies, maintaining
cost control records, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate cost processing. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure Cost Control procedures for all brands are followed and applied consistently.
  • Review and validate operational, transport, logistics, feeder, and M&R costs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform detailed analysis of cost variances and identify discrepancies for resolution.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve billing issues and recover overcharged costs.
  • Monitor invoice approval status and ensure timely processing.
  • Support compliance with vessel-sharing agreements, slot purchase arrangements, and operational cost control procedures.
  • Analyse cost data and prepare reports, statistics, and KPIs for management review.
  • Maintain and update cost control matrices, tariff records, and related documentation.
  • Monitor stevedore productivity and support follow-up actions related to contractual performance requirements.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance cost control efficiency and accuracy.
  • Undertake any other ad hoc assignments, projects, or responsibilities as assigned by the Manager, Senior Manager, or Management to support business and operational requirements.
