YOUR ROLE

 

Our 4PL Lead Logistics team based in Ashby de la Zouch is looking for a customer centric Operations Coordinator where you will oversee daily operational activities on behalf of a large customer managing shipment movements via air, ocean, and ground transportation. Through effective communication you will build outstanding customer and supplier relationships and collaborate with wider CEVA functions to meet operational objectives.

 

This amazing hybrid role will see you working rotating shifts from our head office in Ashby and from home, where you will work on a 6-week rotational basis, working 8am-4:30pm, 9am-5:30pm and 12pm to 8pm.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

Reporting into the Regional Operations Supervisor, you will support your client with shipment bookings and scheduling activities, where you will liaise heavily with suppliers and carriers to distribute requirements, monitoring shipment movements and progress to achieve operational goals. This pivotal role will require you to review, validate and administer shipment documentation for international requests ensuring processes meet operational requirements and client deadlines. You will also be responsible for accurate data input into various internal systems, ensuring information and documentation match requirements, shipments are monitored, and timelines updated.

 

This excellent role requires an individual who has a strong customer ethos, as you build client, supplier and carrier relationships, creating a platform for open and honest communication. You will also have strong collaborative skills, with the ability to engage and embed a positive team culture.  

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

To be successful in your application you will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and behaviours:

 

  • Proven customer service or call centre experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build excellent relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Able to organise and prioritise workload to meet objectives.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Naturally inquisitive.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.  
  • Proven MS Office packages experience (Outlook and Excel).

 

Desirable skills

  • Excellent geographical knowledge.
  • Knowledge of international transportation.
  • Experience of working within a 4PL or 3PL organisation.
