YOUR ROLE:
The primary role of the Regional Network Commercial Manager is to ensure that the various sales entities within the Regional Commercial Organization are performing in line with their required budgets, aligning actual sales activities to proscribed processes for daily duties and supporting the commercial organization on specific functions.
This position ensures the standards of performance are enforced across the entire sales organisation, measures sales against these standards and continues to monitor progress.
This individual will also collaborate with the Network sales, HO Lines and commercial to drive the business development, especially activities related to various customer campaign projects.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Manage and build business performance measures and procedures.
- Drive business development successes by leading various sales campaigns
- Regional escalation point for the Network to ensure that the needs of sales regions are met by working with various departments.
- Work transversally with other teams (i.e., OPS / Customer Service) to ensure clients are taken care of
- Provide Sales regions with timely and accurate data and analysis.
- Support for CCO in daily tasks and related duties or projects as assigned.
- Drive Business data quality.
PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extensive Sales / Commercial experience within the shipping industry
- Standard industry practices for client engagement and development
- Understanding day to day issues and related work processes within the sales regions
- Knowledge and understanding of business requirements and the capabilities of reporting and data analysis tools, and the ability to align both into functional systems
- Ability to anticipate business requirements and remain ahead of the business need
- Team building and ability to reach consensus with divergent organizational divisions
- Ability to think transversally to drive commercial opportunities
- Ability to synthesize data and make recommendations to senior management
- Results driven & deadline oriented, strong in project management skills and their implementation
- Bachelor’s degree required
