Apprentice Data Quality & Analytics Engineer (Naval Architecture)

YOUR ROLE
Data is at the heart of CMA CGM Group’s digital transformation. Every day, millions of data flows transit through our systems to drive one of the world’s most complex logistics chains.
Within the Data & Digital division, the Data Quality Officer apprentice helps ensure the reliability, consistency and governance of the data that feeds our management and decision-making tools.

Reporting to the Data Quality Manager, your mission is to identify, analyse and correct anomalies in our databases, while contributing to the implementation of data governance rules and processes.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As Data Quality Officer, at the heart of the CMA CGM Group’s digital transformation, your responsibilities are as follows:
- Centralise and integrate test reports (model tests, CFD) into a global database
- Ensure data integrity: detect anomalies, correct errors, and fill in missing data
- Automate quality reporting and data pipelines through scripting
- Cross-reference theoretical results with real sensor data from vessels
- Conduct predictive regression analyses to estimate performance for other vessel series
- Leverage AI tools to automate and enrich data analysis
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Required
- Master’s or Engineering degree (Bac+5) in Naval Architecture, Maritime Engineering, Data Science or Computer Science
- Solid foundations in ship hydrodynamics, model testing and CFD principles
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn) for data manipulation and automation
- Analytical mindset, rigour and strong attention to detail
- Fluent English, written and spoken
Desirable
- Interest in AI / Machine Learning applied to predictive modelling and regression analysis
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases
- Knowledge of BI and data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- First experience in data management or vessel performance analysis
