Area Logistic Officer - Temporary Contract (8 months)

It will rely on strategic industrial and academic partners experts in the maritime industry (laboratories, companies, startups, shipyards, etc.).

 

8-month Fixed-Term Contract based in Marseille

 

YOUR ROLE

Integrated within the Container Logistics Department, you will contribute to the management of the short-term leased container fleet.

 

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Within the “One Way and Interchange” team, which manages agreements covering the use of containers according to specific rules, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing the commercial and operational activity of One Way on new geographical areas
  • Optimizing the use of these containers on specific trades
  • Maintaining the operational tool “One Way Platform”
  • Handling the administrative follow-up of these agreements, such as creating and monitoring container pickup references in our IT system
  • Publishing weekly reports used by CMA CGM agents and by your management
  • Liaising with logistics agents worldwide, GBS (Global Business Services) teams in India, logistics area managers at the Marseille headquarters, and various commercial partners

 

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • You hold a degree from an Engineering or Business School, preferably with a specialization in Logistics or Transport, and you have a first experience in the Maritime or Logistics sector.
  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • You have excellent command of office tools, especially Excel.
  • You are comfortable learning new IT systems and already have an understanding of data management tools such as Qlik Sense or similar.
  • Your interpersonal skills will be essential to communicate easily with numerous stakeholders.
  • Analytical and structured, you are thorough, enjoy understanding your subjects in detail, and seek simple and effective solutions. 
  • Your curiosity, tenacity, organizational skills, and team spirit will enable you to succeed in this role.
