Bunker Operations Purchaser

YOUR ROLE

 

You are responsible for the management and operational optimization of fuel supplies for the lines for which you are responsible (conventional fuels, LNG, biofuels, methanol, de-Sox and de-NOx chemicals).

 

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?

 

You set up the bunkering strategy, taking into account all operational parameters, technical specificities of vessels and products available on the market, in consultation with the purchasing team (purchasing forecast, bunkering requirement by port).

 

You also set up supply schedule / bunkering pre-nomination by geographical area and implement bunker plan for each vessel.

 

In coordination with bunkering market purchasing team and based on purchasing recommendations, you book bunklers for your vessels in portfolio

 

You coordinate bunkering operations, from the order placed to final delivery, in liaison with the line, the supplier, the ship, the agent and the control team in particular

 

For each of your vessels, you implement documentary process (mandatory quantity confirmation and order price, performances monitoring)

 

Finally, you contribute to the development of dedicated IT tools (testing of new functions, brainstorming etc.)and to new energy implementation projects

 

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?

 

  • You have a Master’s degree (+5 years) in the maritime or energy sector preferably and a minimum of 2 years experience in the commodities and/or maritime sector.

 

  • Fluent in English (oral and written)

 

  • Good understanding of marine fuels

 

  • Excellence in execution, customer orientation, good team spirit and communication skills

 

  • While being autonomous, you work with your back-up to guarantee continuity of service and also take part of bunker purchasing weekend duty watch.
