Business Controller - Bunkering & Energy department

YOUR ROLE :
Reporting to the Finance Department, and more specifically to the OPEX team, you will be involved in monitoring and controlling fuel expenditure on the Group's vessels.You will analyse the performance of the Energy Department and support the Group's energy transition.The Energy Department is certified ISO 9001, therefore you should respect and comply with the ISO 9001 quality management system
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- You will be responsible for ensuring the completeness and reliability of the financial data relating to the Group's fuel expenditure.
- You will be responsible for producing the Energy Department's performance indicators, and for analysing energy OPEX for the Group, via regular reports to the Energy and Finance Departments.
- You will be involved in the budget process and in monitoring forecasts throughout the year.
- You will monitor the Group's exposure to volatile commodity markets (oil, gas, carbon) and participate in the Group's hedging strategy.
- You will assess the financial impact and participate in the development of IT tools and processes related to the energy transition.
- You will act as a genuine decision-making aid for top management
- You will provide support to the line management controllers for all fuel-related requests.
- You will be the CSR Department's point of contact for environmental indicators.
- You will carry out ad hoc studies for the Finance and Energy Departments.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Master's degree in economics and management, in-depth knowledge of management control, accounting and finance required.
- You have at least 5 years' professional experience, including at least 3 years in Management Control.
- You have a strong command of Excel and VBA, enabling you to manage and automate large databases and develop complex macros. You will be at ease with Powerpoint and new IT tools such as Qliksense and Sharepoint.
A good level of English is required.
- Knowledge of the commodities market (oil, gas, carbon) and environmental regulations specific to sea freight would be a plus.
