Business Development Senior Specialist - Shipping Lines

THE ROLE
You will contribute to the development of the activity by studying all the opportunities of new services, developing marketing intelligence, participating to the remodelling of the organization by developing the
relevant reporting and BI tools.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?
Directly reporting to the Shipping Lines Senior Vice President, you will take responsibility for the analyses and Marketing studies for the entire scope. These market studies will enable you to offer development opportunities in line with the objectives set by the management.
You will set up templates and tools to refine and optimise market analyses. To assess the reliability and profitability of creations or evolutions of existing services, you will make complete business plans. On this basis, you define the proposals and recommendations according to the market constraints (rates, volumes, competition…).
Studies on the activity and the profitability of existing services (number of ports of call, rotation organisation, purchase of new vessels, partnerships) as well as the evaluation studies of chartered vessels will enable you to appreciate the synergies and assess the impacts on the activity.
You will also be responsible for market intelligence and writing position papers to arbitrate on future services
developments.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?
- You have a postgraduate degree (+ 5 years) from a Business or Engineering School.
- You have at least a 7-year experience in the field of shipping or in import/export, purchases or international logistics, practiced within a consulting firm in strategy and organisation, or within an international industrial group. Your missions led you to work abroad, or on global issues involving several countries or several markets.
- You are perfectly fluent in English and have a good command of IT tools for monitoring and data analysis.
- You are provided with a strong commercial character, having a taste for challenge and teamwork. Your leadership, management, communication and coordination are serious assets to succeed in and face new challenges within our Group.
