THE ROLE 

You are the main point of contact for all topics related to cargo loading on our containerships vessels fleet.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ? 

•    Complying with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations.
•    Performing duties in line with quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies.
•    Proposing and reporting continuous performance improvement initiatives.
•    Providing daily follow up on loading and lashing issues and feedbacks raised by vessels and line operations.
•    Issuing comments on drawings for newbuilding projects (container stowage, cargo securing systems, stability, etc.).
•    Managing tender processes for loose lashing systems for newbuilding projects.
•    Ordering and monitoring loading & lashing software for newbuildings.
•    Leading periodic meetings with Classification Societies, lashing makers and software developers on ongoing technical matters.
•    Be proactive to come up with innovative ideas and designs to implement on newbuildings

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ? 

•    Chief Officer on container ships, or container ship planner, or lashing engineer working for loose lashing makers or classification societies
•    Solid technical knowledge of vessel design and operations.
•    Fluent English, written and spoken.
•    Educational background in merchant shipping and/or naval engineering
•    Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
•    Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with the team.
•    Proactive mindset and technical curiosity.
•    No restriction to travel abroad
