THE ROLE

In the context of a profound transformation of the maritime, logistics, and media industries, the CMA CGM Group is accelerating its digitalization strategy and the large-scale deployment of artificial intelligence.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President (SVP) in charge of Artificial Intelligence and Innovation, the Chief of Staff will play a central role in strategic coordination, operational steering, and intelligence gathering, while serving as a key interface with internal departments, technology partners (e.g., Google, Mistral AI), Group entities (CEVA Logistics, CMA Media, etc.), and external innovation ecosystems (ZEBOX, Tangram, etc.).

This position offers direct exposure to strategic projects within a rapidly growing global group and represents a unique opportunity for a highly organized, adaptable, and insightful professional seeking to contribute to the implementation of the Group’s technological and innovation vision.

As a true career accelerator, this role also provides the opportunity to gain a transversal understanding of the Group’s strategic challenges and to grow within its various entities, in France or internationally.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO ?

  • 1. Strategic Coordination, Executive Content & Communication

    • Prepare executive presentations and strategic notes on the Group’s key priorities to support top management’s decision-making.

    • Draft talking points and communication materials for the SVP’s public speaking engagements (interviews, conferences, panels, etc.).

    • Ensure consistency and quality of internal and external messaging related to Artificial Intelligence and Innovation.

    • Conduct active sector monitoring to inform strategy and anticipate emerging trends.

    • Prepare and organize documentation for internal and external meetings aligned with strategic priorities.


    2. Project Management & Executive PMO

    • Support the monitoring of high-visibility strategic projects presented to the Chairman.

    • Structure clear work plans and simultaneously manage several cross-functional initiatives.

    • Organize and lead team governance routines (weekly and monthly meetings, progress reviews, etc.).

    • Lead or contribute to strategic initiatives and communicate outcomes to relevant stakeholders.

    • Promote best practices, new tools, and innovative approaches within the department when relevant.


    3. External Relations & Ecosystem Engagement

    • Manage selected interactions with key technology partners (Google, Mistral AI, OpenAI, Microsoft, etc.).

    • Oversee relationships with Group entities within the Innovation perimeter (ZEBOX, CMA CGM Ventures, etc.).

    • Support the preparation of business trips and meetings with local ecosystems (startups, funds, institutions, etc.).

    • Work cross-functionally with various departments to mobilize the right resources and key data to advance projects.

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?

  • Technical & Strategic Skills

    • Outstanding academic background.

    • Minimum 5 years of professional experience within a consulting firm, a government office, a start-up/scale-up, or a large corporation, focused on strategic projects in technology, digital, or innovation.

    • Strong understanding of Artificial Intelligence, digital transformation, and innovation issues (state of the art, technologies, business models, regulation, etc.).

    • Excellent analytical, strategic, and project-structuring skills.

    • Proven track record in cross-functional project management and coordination within complex, matrixed environments.

    • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities at all organizational levels.

    • International mindset and multicultural exposure preferred.

    • Excellent writing and speaking skills in both French and English.
