YOUR ROLE
The position of Chief of Staff reporting to the Group Head of Energy Transition is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to strategic and innovative projects at the heart of CMA CGM’s decarbonization and energy transition priorities.
This department oversees all of the Group's activities (shipping, logistics, media, and air freight) and plays a key role in supporting CMA CGM's commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Its mission includes the procurement and supply of both conventional fuels and renewable energies, managing the Group's decarbonization roadmap for all activities, ensuring compliance with global environmental regulations, monitoring energy transition performance indicators, managing the Pulse Fund—CMA CGM's dedicated financial fund for energy transition initiatives—and driving R&D projects focused on energy transition.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?
- Organize and consolidate information from various departments and meetings, ensuring accurate and clear reporting, with recommendations when needed
- Ensure clear and consistent communication with all key stakeholders across the Group, including Group Top Management
- Lead and report on strategic and operational initiatives related to energy transition
- Manage the Director’s calendar and oversee multiple strategic projects simultaneously
- Stay informed about energy sector trends to contribute effectively to discussions and initiatives
- Implement best practices, tools, and innovative approaches within the team when relevant
- Support the operational execution of the Group’s energy transition strategy
- Prepare and structure materials for internal and external meetings
- Work cross-functionally with various Group departments to gather key data and drive projects forward
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?
- Top academic background (business school, engineering school, military academy…)
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in an international and challenging environment, ideally involving strategic and operational projects in energy or decarbonization
- Strong understanding of energy transition and sustainability challenges
- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems and propose actionable solutions
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Highly adaptable and flexible in managing shifting priorities
- Fluency in English and French is essential
- Strong willingness to learn and grow within the Group
