Data Governance Senior Specialist

YOUR ROLE
The Data Governance Lead plays a key role in the group’s Data Transformation journey. He/she will be responsible for the structuration & deployment of the Data Governance Framework for a list of defined Data domains based on validated Strategic Priorities.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Methodology & Standards Deployment
- Enrich and improve Data Governance Framework (Operating model, deliverables, Tools: data catalog, quality tool, ...)
- Understand the current pain points and leverage on her/his previous experience to provide guidance & optimize ways of working.
- Ensure alignment of practices with Group CDO and across business domains (Lines & Pricing, Sales & Customer Care, Lines Operations & Cargo Flow)
Project & Program Management
- Ensure the proper roll out the Data Governance Framework (data requirement, data assessment, data readiness status…)
- Lead Shipping Lines transversal data initiatives and ensure alignment with strategic priorities (KPI calculation harmonization, golden source validation, referential studies…)
- Track and report on data readiness dashboards (definition, process, quality).
- Identify gaps and escalate risks to leadership.
Change Management & Adoption
- Collaborate with business to implement Data Governance at scale
- Act as a champion of data culture, enabling teams to understand the value of data and use it effectively.
- Organize training, workshops, and communication to increase maturity.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proven experience in project management (PMO, agile methods, or transformation programs) with ability to translate business needs into data requirements (without being a technical delivery role).
- Deep expertise of data governance, data management, data visualization, big data technologies, analytics and AI technologies.
- Excellent change management skills, able to drive adoption across non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Snowflake)
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
