Global Key Account Manager

YOUR ROLE

 

You are responsible for a team of Key Account Managers handling major accounts in the Transpacific market.

You are also responsible for managing a portfolio of key accounts.

 

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?

 

You are responsible for the commercial follow-up of international freight forwarders, for whom you act as the main point of contact for Transpacific trade lines.

You lead a team of key account sales professionals and are responsible for commercial negotiations as well as tender management.

 

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining daily communication with clients and sharing relevant market intelligence internally.
  • Acting as the main interface between management, key accounts, and operations.
  • Ensuring service quality across commercial, contractual, and operational matters.
  • Leading your team and managing the relevant tools in order to optimize performance and efficiency.

 

Your role as Key Account Manager makes you the preferred point of contact for strategic clients and agents. You are their main source of information.

In this capacity, you:

  • manage tenders,
  • coordinate with the relevant internal departments,
  • take part in commercial negotiations,
  • represent and support clients’ interests internally with trade lines, agencies, and any other department involved in service delivery.

 

Internally, you ensure continuous monitoring of volumes related to your clients and define action plans in line with business needs.

You lead your team and manage the tools available to optimize its work and overall effectiveness.

 

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?

 

  • You are a graduate of a top business school (Master’s degree level) and have at least 5 years of experience in the commercial and shipping / maritime sector.
  • You are fully proficient in English, both written and spoken, and possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • Used to commercial negotiations, you are able to manage priorities effectively.
  • In addition, you are proficient in advanced Excel functions.
