THE ROLE
Reporting to the Logistics Department, the Project Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating international multimodal logistics operations related to the company's projects. The role ensures the efficient execution of end-to-end shipments while meeting cost, quality and delivery objectives through close collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?
As part of the Logistics team, you will coordinate international transportation activities and ensure the smooth execution of logistics operations throughout the supply chain.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Manage and monitor orders and end-to-end international shipments.
- Organize multimodal transportation (ocean, air and road freight) according to project requirements, delivery deadlines and cost objectives.
- Coordinate logistics flows with internal stakeholders, including project teams, procurement and operations.
- Manage relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, agents and other logistics service providers.
- Track deliveries and proactively identify delays or risks that may impact project execution.
- Select the most appropriate transportation solutions while optimizing logistics performance and costs.
- Maintain accurate logistics data within the ERP system and shipment tracking tools.
- Prepare and distribute shipment pre-alerts to all relevant stakeholders, including vessels, agents and project teams.
- Communicate logistics deviations, such as delays, damages or discrepancies, and contribute to corrective action plans.
- Monitor logistics costs and support cost optimization initiatives.
- Track key performance indicators (OTIF, lead time, logistics costs and service quality) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?
- Master's degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Transportation or a related field.
- Previous experience in international multimodal logistics coordination, ideally within a project-based environment.
- Strong knowledge of international logistics flows, import/export processes, Incoterms and multimodal transportation.
- Good understanding of transport documentation, customs procedures and international trade regulations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Professional level of English, both written and spoken.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to anticipate operational risks.
- Detail-oriented, proactive and responsive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across multicultural teams.
- Team-oriented mindset with a strong customer service approach.
The following would be considered a plus:
- Experience in an international and/or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of the maritime or shipping industry.
- Previous experience in project logistics.
