PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Within the Digital Agency Department, you lead the dedicated entity accountable for CMA CGM's Inland Real-Time Visibility product line across the three intermodal modes of transport — rail, road and barge.

You take the product out of its European pilot phase and scale it worldwide. You own the full value chain end to end: acquisition of tracking data from inland suppliers, data completeness and quality, aggregation through the EAGLE platform, distribution across all customer-facing digital channels, customer and internal adoption, and the commercial and productivity benefits committed in the approved business case.

you build and lead the organisation, own the programme and run budget, hold the vendor portfolio, decide the deployment strategy, and are accountable in front of executive governance .

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Strategy and business case ownership

  • Define, own and arbitrate the global strategy for Inland Real-Time Visibility and its integration into the Digital Agency roadmap.
  • Commit to the benefit trajectory defined with top Management, track its realization, and defend it in front of executive management at each gate.
  • Decide the deployment sequence by region, transport mode and supplier, arbitrating between coverage, cost, data quality and time to market.
  • Anticipate competitive moves on inland visibility (Hapag-Lloyd, ONE, ZIM, DSV, Schenker) and adjust the service positioning accordingly.

2. Organisation and people leadership

  • Build, structure and lead the dedicated entity across Marseille and Portugal: recruitment, onboarding, objective setting, performance management, skills development and succession.
  • Lead a distributed, multicultural and multi-site organisation, and secure the contribution of regional and functional resources that do not report hierarchically to the role.
  • Define the target operating model of the entity and its interfaces with Regions, Agencies, ILS, Customer Service and IT.

3. Vendor, contract and investment governance

  • Own the supplier portfolio end to end: define scope of work, drive commercial negotiation together with Procurement, contract, and hold suppliers accountable against SLAs on data completeness, data quality and latency.
  • Own the programme and run budget: arbitrate investment trade-offs, control spend, produce the re-forecast, and secure funding renewal at each governance gate.
  • Take the make-or-buy decisions on data acquisition capability and technology components.

4. Product, data and technology

  • Own the roadmap of EAGLE, the internal tracking data aggregation platform: set priorities with IT and vendors, and arbitrate the backlog through the EAGLE Product Owner.
  • Set and enforce the data quality framework: coverage KPIs (trackable and tracked volume), latency, collection and delivery address quality, and integrity of the referential (depot and terminal polygons). Trigger, staff and steer corrective plans.
  • Secure the correct exposure of tracking data across all digital channels, in coordination with the relevant Product Owners (Web, Mobile, Professional Services, API).
  • Drive the deployment of AI and agentic solutions (LLM-based agents) across the data acquisition chain and customer interaction, and assess their business case.

5. Service adoption and commercial enablement

  • Own the vendor-side onboarding end to end: selection, sequencing and integration of inland transport suppliers into the tracking data chain, which conditions the coverage available to customers in each region.
  • Own the adoptability of the service: tracking coverage, data quality and correct exposure across the digital channels, so that the service is usable by Corporate and Elite customers. Be accountable for the delivery of these conditions and for the resulting contribution to the benefit trajectory.
  • Support the eCommerce adoption team, which owns the customer-facing commercial relationship: supply the value proposition, product content and enablement material, define the customer onboarding sequence from a product standpoint, and contribute to promotion campaigns (webinars, newsletters, agency enablement).
  • Own the measurement of service performance and customer satisfaction (NPS, surveys), conducted in coordination with the adoption team, and convert the findings into roadmap and corrective decisions.

6. Transformation of the internal operating model

  • Redesign and roll out the target internal processes across Agencies, ILS, Customer Service and Control Tower so that tracking automation converts into measurable productivity.
  • Secure adoption of the new processes by regional and functional management through influence rather than hierarchical authority.
  • Lead the adjacent initiatives connected to the product line (Control Tower, agentic customer interaction) and their integration into the overall service.
