YOUR ROLE
90% of global trade moves by sea. Behind every financial transaction at the CMA CGM Group lies a robust and continuously evolving accounting function – and that is exactly where you come in.
Within the Group Accounting Department, you will join a cross-functional project team working across all CMA CGM Group entities and activities. Your mission: actively contribute to the reliability of financial data, the standardisation of practices, and the smooth delivery of the Group’s accounting projects.
This role is made for you if you are structured, rigorous, and motivated — with a genuine drive to learn, improve, and make a concrete contribution to a team that counts on you.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As an apprentice, you will be embedded in the Global Accounting Projects team, reporting directly to the project manager. Your responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to cross-functional accounting projects across the Group: analysing existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and formulating concrete recommendations
- Participate in the standardisation and documentation of accounting processes across the Group
- Produce regular financial analyses and reports for management (dashboards, KPIs, performance summaries)
- Provide operational support to accounting teams and proactively suggest ways to improve the efficiency of existing processes
- Coordinate exchanges between business teams and the finance departments of the Group’s various entities
- Contribute to maintaining the project documentation base (procedures, user guides, meeting minutes)
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Required:
- Master’s degree (Bac+4/5) in Finance, Accounting, Management Control or Audit (business school or university)
- Good command of Excel and office tools; curiosity for ERP and financial information systems
- Professional English, written and spoken (international working environment)
- Impeccable rigour and attention to detail: data reliability under all circumstances, zero tolerance for approximation
- Initiative and proactivity: ability to spot issues and suggest improvements without being asked
Desirable:
- First experience in accounting, management control or project management (internship or apprenticeship)
- Familiarity with an ERP tool (SAP, Oracle or equivalent)
- Drive to keep improving: this role is above all an opportunity to build real expertise on high-impact Group accounting topics
Come along on CMA CGM’s adventure !
