YOUR ROLE
No less than 90% of world trade is carried by sea. Every day, the CMA CGM Group transports vast quantities of goods across more than 200 shipping routes, financing major assets — vessels, containers, aircraft — to support its global ambitions.
Embedded within the Group Finance Department, you join a team dedicated to structuring and implementing all of the Group's bank financing, in France and internationally. Within a team of five people and a work-study student, you play a cross-functional role and contribute to the Group's financial roadmap. A high-value experience in a demanding and stimulating environment, with real career prospects.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a work-study student within the Finance Department, your responsibilities will include:
- Participating in the financing of the Group's strategic assets (vessels, containers, aircraft), port terminals (project finance), and corporate financing needs (acquisitions, RCF, etc.)
- Interacting with a wide range of financial partners (banks, funds, international export credit agencies) as well as operational teams and support functions (legal, accounting, tax) across the Group
- Conducting financial analyses: modelling, return calculations (IRR, NPV), financing cost comparisons, and support for investment decision-making
- Contributing to the deployment of tools and processes within the Department, and participating in cross-functional projects as opportunities arise
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Master's degree (Bac+5) from a Grande École (HEC, leading business school) or engineering school with a corporate finance specialisation
- Ideally a first experience in banking, consulting or advisory
- Strong financial knowledge, including modelling, financial statement analysis, and valuation and financial analysis methods
- Solid Excel skills (financial modelling, return calculations)
- Fluent professional English — advanced level required, both written and spoken
