Group Regional Europe Category Manager

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Group Global Category Director, the Group Regional Category Manager is accountable for
the overall procurement performance on his scope (CMA CGM and CEVA)


WHAT ARE GOING TO DO ? 

  • Manage a team of 5 category buyers
  • Define categories and supplier base strategies, in close liaison with the Global Category Director
  • Develop on his category scope annual spend reduction plans (supplier prices reduction and internal
    demand optimization), ensuring the activation of all possible performance levers: value analysis, cost
    breakdown, supplier base rationalization, country synergies, benchmarking, near-/offshoring, etc.
  • Leverage all possible CMA CGM group synergies
  • Lead all key Request for Proposal (RFP) processes (RFP strategies and supplier selection) in close
    collaboration with business owners / stakeholders.
  • Implement internal working groups, aiming at identifying cost-saving opportunities, disruptive business
    model changes to generate additional savings.
  • Identify all potential synergies across countries and other CEVA regions (Europe, Latam, APAC, IMEA):
    multi-country RFPs, supplier base rationalization
  • Monitor Suppliers risk: financial health, CSR, compliance, dependency,…develop corrective actions when
    necessary.

Main KPIs will be :
- Spend reduction (hard savings & cost avoidance, suppliers price reduction & demand optimization)
-- Number of annual innovation committees with strategic suppliers

 


WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ? 

  • Master degree in business school
  • Experience 7-10 years industrial or indirect Procurement
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to develop strategies and work operationally
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural, and matrix organization.
