Group Strategic Advisory Manager

MISSION

CMA CGM is experiencing rapid growth across multiple business sectors and geographic regions, and is undertaking major transformations driven by innovation, digitalization, and decarbonization.

Within CMA Conseil, the Group’s internal strategic consulting entity reporting directly to the CEO, the Manager plays a key role in defining, steering, and delivering high-impact strategic missions for the Group.

As a Manager, you are responsible for leading complex engagements, managing relationships with senior sponsors, and overseeing and developing a team of consultants. You will work on short- to long-term projects covering all business lines and geographic areas of the Group.

This position is a highly visible strategic role and a major career accelerator toward senior leadership positions within the Group.


WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Strategic leadership of missions

  • Define the scope, objectives, and roadmap of missions in close collaboration with executive sponsors (Executive Committee, CEO).

  • Oversee project execution, ensuring progress, quality of analyses, and relevance of recommendations.

  • Conduct complex strategic analyses (portfolio reviews, operational performance, geopolitical scenarios, organizational transformations, etc.).

  • Structure and challenge key deliverables, and present findings and recommendations to top management.

  • Ensure cross-functional coordination with Group entities and effectively engage key stakeholders.

Team management and development

  • Directly manage a team of 3 consultants, organizing workloads, setting priorities, and maintaining high performance standards.

  • Support team members’ professional development through coaching, feedback, and the enhancement of analytical and interpersonal skills.

  • Foster a strong team spirit, a culture of excellence, and the sharing of best practices.

  • Contribute to performance evaluation and talent development within CMA Conseil.

Contribution to the development of CMA Conseil

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of CMA Conseil’s methodologies, tools, and standards.

  • Proactively propose innovative approaches, new strategic topics, and best practices in consulting.

  • Conduct active monitoring of sectoral, economic, geopolitical, and technological trends relevant to the Group.


WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Master’s degree from a top-tier academic institution

  • 8 to 10 years of professional experience, including significant experience in a leading consulting firm and/or in a strategic role within a large international group

  • Proven experience in leading complex projects and managing teams

  • Excellent ability to structure strategic issues and deliver high-impact recommendations

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and synthesis skills

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with senior-level stakeholders

  • Experience in direct team management

  • High adaptability in demanding and fast-changing environments

  • Open-mindedness and experience in international contexts

  • Fluency in French and English

  • Strong motivation to learn, grow, and build a long-term career within the CMA CGM Group
