IT Product Manager - Shipping Documentation

THE ROLE

 

Within CMA CGM IT, you manage a portfolio of applications supporting a specific Business scope & related projects (Cargo Readiness, LARA Documentation, Smart Cargo Release, Customer Export Doc…).

You act as the link between Business stakeholders and IT delivery teams (internal and partners), ensuring that solutions meet expectations in terms of quality, reliability, cost, and timelines... to deliver Business value.

You drive end‑to‑end accountability for your product scope, covering Project delivery, RUN/production stability, and continuous improvement.

You organize, supervise and lead the product IT team to drive the product maintenance & project activities.

 

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

  • 1. Business & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as the primary contact for Business teams on your product perimeter.
  • Understand, challenge, and translate business needs into actionable IT requirements (maintenance / projects).
  • Animate governance routines, provide clear communication on roadmap, risks, priorities, and releases.

 

  • 2. Product & Project Delivery
  • Build and maintain the product roadmap aligned with Business and IT strategy.
  • Manage end‑to‑end delivery of enhancements and projects.
  • Coordinate with IT partners to ensure high‑quality deliverables.
  • When needed, review and validate high solution designs, while challenging proposals
  • Support effort estimation, prioritization, arbitration, and planning.

 

  • 3. RUN / Application Management
  • Ensure production stability and proper functioning of applications (incidents, bugs, monitoring/observability, performance).
  • Coordinate AMS teams and ensure SLA/KPI compliance.
  • Partner with other IT dimensions like Operations, Architecture, Cybersecurity, … to deliver business needs and maintain service continuity from 360° perspective
  • Identify improvements to reduce incidents and improve operational efficiency.

 

  • 4. Leadership & Management
  • In a distributed delivery model Product / Platforms (including IT Services): internal IT experts/leads (onshore/offshore), partners (offshore/onshore), architecture, cybersecurity, operations, and other transversal contributors. You are the end‑to‑end accountable owner of the applications in your scope—covering both Project delivery and Run/Production stability.
  • Organize the product team/activities so as to deliver maintenance & projects at expected level of service.
  • Steer IT Partners in a partnership mode to ensure quality of their engagements.
  • Allocated budget preparation & monitoring / Follow up of Purchase requests
  • Team members (direct reports) competencies development support & contribution to their career evolution: training, professional mobility,…
  • Support the product team in their needs to fulfill daily activities & to implement improvements (process, organization,…) for better efficiency.
  • Ensure good cooperation between your team & the other IT teams/Business/Partners

 

  • 5. Reporting & Risk Management
  • Provide synthetic, regular reporting to IT and Business stakeholders.
  • Anticipate and escalate risks with mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with architectural and security standards.

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • 1. Professional Expertise
  • Experience in Product or Project Management in IT, including resources management
  • Experience in application maintenance
  • Understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Integration, or Domain-Driven is a plus.
  • Knowledge of shipping/logistics environments is appreciated.

 

  • 2. Leadership & Behavior
  • Strong leadership and ability to guide transversal teams.
  • End‑to‑end ownership mindset (solution, AMS, monitoring, infra, costs).
  • Result‑oriented, structured/synthesis mind, and able to handle crises.
  • Excellent communication in English; ability to challenge diplomatically.
  • Agile, proactive, curious, autonomy and comfortable with change/trasnformation

  • Skills/appetence in people management

 

  • 3. Methodology & Tools
  • Familiar with Agile/Scrum delivery practices, as well as knowledge of V-cycle
  • Knowledge of incident/change management processes.
  • Knowledge with JIRA, Confluence, monitoring tools.

 

  • 4. Technology & Transformation
  • Good understanding of modern IT environments (APIs, Events, Cloud, AI, …).
  • Ability to drive transformation, including AI adoption for IT delivery and business use cases.
