Intern Container Logistics Officer

YOUR ROLE 

 

Within our Container Logistics Department, based at our headquarters in Marseille, you will be responsible for implementing the daily actions required to rebalance empty dry container stocks according to the needs of your assigned geographical area. 

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO? 

 

  • Analyze container requirements in coordination with commercial departments and local agents. 

  • In collaboration with Shipping Line operations teams, agents and regional offices, ensure the repositioning and replenishment of containers to maintain optimal stock levels. 

  • Monitor the availability of the various container types (empty, idle) and optimize the loading of empty containers on vessels in cooperation with the Shipping Lines. 

  • Prepare studies, reports and statistics. 

  • Support the team in daily operations by developing and monitoring logistics indicators and KPIs for the assigned region. 

  • Contribute to reducing container logistics costs by analyzing operational situations and proposing the most cost-effective solutions. 

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 

 

  • Education: Master's degree (Bac+5) in Business, Logistics or Transportation. 

  • Technical skills: proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced knowledge of Excel. 

  • Languages: fluent in English, both written and spoken. 

  • Strong analytical and logical mindset, comfortable working with data and IT tools. 

  • Adaptability, teamwork and strong communication skills. 

 

JOB ENVIRONMENT 

 

  • Location: MARSEILLE 

  • Internship duration: 6 monts, beginning January 2027
