Internship - Activity Monitoring Support

YOUR ROLE

 

The Dangerous Cargo Office, an iconic part of CMA CGM, is responsible for verifying dangerous goods information provided by customers in accordance with IMDG Code rules, international port regulations and internal restrictions. The DCO is an essential validation step before a container can be loaded on board. It is one of the key factors in ensuring safety on board ships.

 


WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?

 

  • Assist the HO DCO in its numerous projects to modernise the applications used in the department. Your tasks will help to shape innovative applications tailored to the business needs of dangerous goods transport, activity management and effective paperless communication.
  • Research and analysis: Analyse best practices and solutions for dangerous goods management, identifying the specific needs of the project.
  • Tool creation: Create and maintain tools (Excel, Qliksens) for the DCO's needs.
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration: Work with IT and operations teams to ensure the smooth integration of new technologies.
  • Testing and validation: Participate in the testing and validation phases of the tools developed, ensuring that they meet safety and regulatory requirements.

 


WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?

 

  • You are currently enrolled in a Master's degree programme in business, international trade, digital technology or international logistics.
  • You are fluent in English and French, both written and spoken, with no barriers to expression.
  • Your interpersonal skills and cultural openness enable you to communicate with all types of people.
  • You have a strong appetite for digital tools, particularly coding and programming.
  • Proficiency in Excel is required, and knowledge of ClikSense would be a plus.
  • You are proactive, curious, rigorous and eager to develop your coding and programming skills to monitor the department's activity.
