YOUR ROLE
Are you dreaming of a meaningful internship at the heart of a global group, in a multicultural and stimulating environment? Join the Corporate team of the CMA CGM Group Legal Department and experience a unique opportunity, working on a wide range of legal topics in France and in more than 160 countries! We are looking for a passionate and ambitious intern, ideally starting from January 2026, to actively contribute to our strategic projects.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?
You will support the corporate counsels on a very diverse range of activities: port terminals, shipping, vessel financing, maritime agencies, media, aviation, and various topics related to decarbonization (funds, carbon tax, etc.). The main tasks entrusted to you will be:
- Participate in major legal operations: structuring, drafting, and securing ordinary operations (approval of accounts, changes of mandates, etc.), extraordinary operations (capital increases and reductions, mergers, universal transfer of assets, M&A, partial asset contributions, etc.), and corporate matters required for M&A projects, project financing, or internal restructurings ;
- Be an active player in the Group’s governance: drafting powers of attorney, authority matrix, participating in and preparing board meetings and minutes of all corporate bodies;
- Support our internal clients (management, operational team, support functions, etc.) and external partners (lawyers, auditors, etc.);
- Conduct in-depth legal research and write a monthly newsletter on corporate law news;
- Ensure the reliability of the Group’s legal database and participate in the digital transformation of the team, notably through the integration of AI into our practices.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?
- You are currently preparing for or hold a Master 2 (BAC +5) in Business Law with a specialization in Corporate Law such as Corporate Engineering, Legal Counsel in Business, and/or you are preparing for the CRFPA;
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken), any other language is an asset;
- Comfortable with digital tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot);
- Analytical and synthesis skills, you have strong writing abilities and a sense of organization and teamwork;
- Curiosity, commitment, and initiative are your driving forces!
