Join the Corporate team within the CMA CGM Group Legal Department and contribute to strategic projects covering a broad range of corporate legal matters, both in France and internationally.

We are looking for a rigorous, curious and motivated intern, ideally available from January 2027.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ? 

 

As part of the Corporate Legal team, you will support our legal counsels across a highly diversified scope of activities, including port terminals, shipping, vessel financing, shipping agencies, media, air freight and decarbonization-related projects.

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

 

  • Supporting key corporate transactions, from day-to-day corporate matters such as approval of annual accounts and changes to corporate mandates, to more complex transactions including capital increases and reductions, mergers, universal transfers of assets and liabilities, M&A transactions and partial asset contributions
  • Contributing to external growth projects, financing transactions and internal reorganizations
  • Supporting the Group’s corporate governance activities, including the drafting of powers of attorney and authority matrices, preparation of Board meetings and other corporate governance bodies, and drafting of related minutes
  • Advising and supporting internal stakeholders, including executives, operational teams and support functions, while coordinating with external legal advisers, lawyers and auditors
  • Conducting legal research on corporate law matters and contributing to a monthly legal newsletter
  • Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the Group’s legal database
  • Contributing to the digital transformation of the Legal Department, including the integration of artificial intelligence tools into day-to-day legal practices

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ? 

 

  • You are currently completing or already hold a Master’s degree (Master 2 / Bac+5 equivalent) in Business Law, ideally with a specialization in Corporate Law, Legal and Tax Engineering, Corporate Legal Advisory or a related field
  • You may also be preparing for the French Bar exam (CRFPA) or currently completing your training as a trainee lawyer
  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken; an additional language would be considered an asset
  • You are comfortable working with digital tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot and Jimini
  • You have strong analytical and synthesis skills, excellent writing abilities and a high level of attention to detail
  • You are well organized, enjoy working as part of a team and are comfortable interacting with a wide range of stakeholders
  • You are curious, proactive and eager to contribute
