YOUR ROLE
As part of your studies, you are currently looking for an internship (Master's degree or final year of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI or Engineering).
You will join the CISO Office, a cross-functional team that acts as the governance entity of the Group's Cyber Security Department. Cyber threats evolve fast, and staying ahead means more than defending against known threats: it means actively exploring what's next. The CISO Office leads this effort for the Group. It scouts emerging technologies, partners with startups and major tech players, and builds AI-powered tools that strengthen how the organization is protected.
You will help design, build and scale AI-powered tools and workflows for Cyber Enablement, from prototyping new use cases to strengthening AI. Your work will combine hands-on development, use-case evaluation, responsible AI practices and innovation scouting. You will own at least one AI use case from prototype to working demonstration. You will also learn the realities of deploying AI in a large company (data governance, model evaluation, responsible AI) and work within the ZeBox startup ecosystem and CMA CGM's broader innovation network.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- AI/ML prototyping & development: You will build and iterate on AI-powered prototypes: LLM-based extraction, classification and summarization pipelines, agentic workflows and RAG-based tools. You will work hands-on with the team's stack (GCP environment including Vertex AI, Gemini, Cloud Run, Python, etc.) and support the testing, iteration and documentation of POC outcomes.
- Innovation sourcing & scouting: You will track emerging AI and cybersecurity capabilities from Big Tech partners and the ZeBox startup ecosystem, with a focus on topics such as digital fraud prevention and AI securing AI. You will help assess innovative vendors and tools (capabilities, feasibility, fit with Cyber's needs) and track the value delivered by scaled initiatives.
- Partnership support: You will help coordinate the partnerships with ZeBox and the École 42 Junior Enterprise, and prepare materials for mentoring days, sprints and joint working sessions.
- Digital fraud research & recommendations: You will support research for recommendation reports on digital fraud prevention. These reports cover platform-specific security features (WhatsApp, iOS, Android, etc.) and how they can be used or hardened against impersonation, phishing and social engineering. You will turn findings into clear, actionable recommendations for Cyber leadership and business stakeholders, and add to the Digital Fraud Initiative's knowledge base: cross-platform comparisons, emerging attack patterns, mitigation options and new features linked to fraud vectors.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Education: Currently pursuing a Master's degree, or in the final year of a Bachelor's degree, in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or a related engineering field.
- Technical skills:
- Python skills and confidence working with APIs and software libraries
- Hands-on experience with LLMs or generative AI through APIs; experience with OpenAI, Anthropic or Google technologies is relevant
- Familiarity with RAG concepts, prompt engineering or agent frameworks is a strong advantage
- Exposure to a cloud platform, preferably GCP, is a plus
- Languages: Fluent English and French.
- Personal qualities: Comfortable in a changing environment; strong interpersonal skills; curious, open-minded, proactive and motivated.
