Internship - Fleet Junior Superintendant

Your role
You will join the CMA Ships Department, responsible for the technical management of CMA-CGM vessels.
You will ensure maintenance, parts procurement, and troubleshooting to guarantee the availability of our vessels. As a member of our team, you will contribute to the expansion of our fleet and the optimization of our maritime operations.
What are you going to do?
• Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations.
• Ensure all your duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies.
• Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis.
• Participate at Fleet meetings and Vessel reviews. Dispatch the minutes and record them in Sharepoint.
• Follow up on administrative matters on assigned tasks involving all fleets in Marseille, Le Havre, and Singapore.
• Coordinate between Fleet and Training departments for deployment of assigned training within the fleet and their
up-to-date recording into share point.
• Coordinate between Fleet and ISM department regarding update of IMS Fleet Manual.
• Assist Fleet Director in specific missions.
• Support and or stand in for Technical Assistants in performance of their tasks.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of Fleet Performance, processes and reliability.
• Distribute reports on technical follow up items being tracked with respect to Fleet Performance – for example: SI inspection records, SI answer to vessels monthly reports and SI shipstaff evaluation follow up, tasks agreed with respective managers at fleet meetings, Problematic invoices.
• Prepare an administrative extract and dispatch KPIs results on monthly basis or earlier as determined.
• Assist superintendent in transverse technical projects (IMO 2023 / BWTS retrofit / ...)
Who are we looking for?
- You are currently pursuing a Master’s degree in naval engineering or equivalent.
- You master the Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- You are comfortable in English.
- You demonstrate rigor, method, and efficiency.
- You have the ability to work in a team, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities.
A first experience in the maritime industry would be a plus.
