Internship - Junior Indirect Purchaser

YOUR ROLE     


Attached to the Purchasing Department, the Indirect Purchasing Department is responsible for managing the group's indirect expenses (not related to the group's core business).
It covers categories such as general services, IT, marketing, travel and maintenance, energy, consulting, etc.
Its role is to optimize costs, guarantee supplier quality, and negotiate contracts. 
Organized into teams specializing in specific purchasing categories, it works closely with internal departments to meet operational needs.
This department also contributes to the sustainability strategy and regulatory compliance.

 

The Junior Indirect Purchaser assists Senior Purchasers in their areas of responsibility, which may include the purchase of:


•    Consulting

•    Facility Management (cleaning, security, maintenance, etc.)

•    Business tools

•    Energy (electricity, gas)

•    Travel

•    HR services (training, temporary staffing, etc.).

 

He/she participates in the various phases of the purchasing process (strategy preparation, negotiation, contracting) in these areas and knows how to manage his/her projects under the supervision of the senior purchaser.

 

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ? 


In this context, your main tasks will be to support senior purchasers in all their duties:


•    Participate in the development of purchasing strategies in consultation with internal clients.

•    Participate in or lead negotiations with suppliers, including drafting contracts.

•    Participate in cross-functional assignments within the department (KPIs, process and organizational improvement).

•    Monitor contracts/suppliers and subcontractors in collaboration with specifiers and senior purchasers.

•    Actively participate in the group's cost reduction plan.

•    Adapt to operational emergencies related to indirect purchasing brought about by management.

 

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?

 

  • You have a Master's degree in Purchasing, Business School, or Engineering School. 
  • You are proficient in IT and office software (proficiency in Excel). 
  • You have a keen interest in the field of purchasing.
  • You are results-oriented, innovative in your search for solutions, and demonstrate a high degree of autonomy in managing your daily tasks.
  • You are agile, curious, collaborative, and rigorous, and know how to adapt to changing strategies and challenges in a demanding environment.
  • You have good analytical skills and are comfortable conducting various negotiations with suppliers.
