Internship - Purchasing Officer

YOUR ROLE
You will join CMA CGM's Purchasing department, which consists of seven buyers responsible for port equipment. You will contribute to the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of cross-functional and operational projects related to CAPEX investments and OPEX expenditures. You will work on both operational and cross-functional assignments in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?
Operational tasks
• Supporting the launch and management of tenders for port handling equipment.
• Monitoring and managing order fulfillment (disputes, claims, transport organization, etc.) within the CAPEX and OPEX scope.
• Manage performance during the tender and execution phases.
• Set up and maintain the price database.
Cross-functional tasks
• Set up and support operational performance evaluations of suppliers.
• Participate in the implementation of category strategies.
• Participating in the implementation and monitoring of budget data.
• Updating the supplier panel, supporting the monitoring of due diligence obligations and managing the risks associated with the panel.
• Updating the team's tools (supplier panel, contract monitoring, etc.).
• Contributing to the organization of meetings and reporting to internal specifiers.
In this role, you will be in contact with various purchasing departments in France and internationally. Working closely with a range of contacts on a daily basis, you will act as the main point of contact for both internal departments and external partners.
You will also be responsible for implementing reporting and project monitoring indicators.
Finally, you will propose action plans and areas for improvement.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You have a Master's degree in Purchasing/Business School or Engineering, or equivalent.
You are proficient in IT and office software (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
You are proficient in data analysis.
Your rigor and autonomy, combined with your dynamism and good interpersonal skills, will be assets for success in this position.
You are proactive.
You are fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
