Internship - Vessel Performance Analyst

YOUR ROLE

 

The department's objective is to measure the energy performance of ships. We have the data to do this, as well as the initial methodology, and the intern's presence will speed up the implementation of this monitoring system.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?

 

  • Calculate ship performance based on navigation parameters using Excel.
  • Propose a methodology and have it developed by IT specialists.
  • Identify performance (or underperformance) factors based on specific criteria.
  • Create a monitoring report (using Excel or other tools).
  • Use and adopt new tools for measuring ship data in real time.

 


WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?

 

  • You are currently enrolled in a Master's degree programme or in your final year of engineering school in the naval, maritime or mechanical engineering field.
  • Ideally, you have some knowledge of maritime transport.
  • You are fluent in written English and have a minimum B2 level in spoken English.
  • You have a good understanding of fluid mechanics (general or naval) as well as basic knowledge of engine efficiency calculations.
  • You have an appetite for data and are proficient in Excel (data management, graph creation, etc.).
  • You have good interpersonal skills and can communicate with all types of people.
  • Your curiosity, proactivity and autonomy will enable you to easily adapt to your tasks and to this supportive team.
