Internship data quality & control - ports & terminals procurement

YOUR ROLE

 

The Ports & Terminals Procurement department purchases handling services from port Terminals to enable shipping lines to call at ports under optimal conditions, at the best cost and with the expected service quality. Reporting to the Digital Procurement team, under the responsibility of the Digital/BI Manager, you will contribute to the reliability of the department's data, to the implementation of quality indicators, and to building a lasting data quality control process.

 

As part of your studies, you are looking for a 6-month internship starting mid-to-late January 2027.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

 

  • KPI control and consistency: You will check data consistency across the department's various systems by cross-referencing with source data, and identify/document anomalies (missing, outdated or inconsistent data).
  • Multi-level analysis: You will analyze data at different levels of granularity (volumes, costs, unit costs, rates, terminal productivity).
  • Reference data reliability: You will help ensure the reliability of the supplier database and support the maintenance and update of reference data (suppliers, terminals, etc.).
  • Quality indicators: You will define and implement data quality indicators, ensuring data remains accurate and consistent throughout its usage cycle.
  • Handling Cost Data Products quality control: You will analyze source data and the processing rules (cleaning, normalization, aggregation) behind the unified rate database, carry out a gap analysis between the data product and source data, and help establish a lasting control process.

 

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

  • Education: Master's student (1st or 2nd year) in statistics, data analysis, business intelligence, or finance/management control/audit, with a genuine interest in tools and data. Prior similar experience (internship or project) is a plus.
  • Technical skills: Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel (formulas, pivot tables, Power BI/Power Query); basic knowledge of SQL and/or Python is desirable; good understanding of performance indicators and business processes.
  • Languages: French required; fluent English.
  • Personal qualities: Rigorous, detail-oriented and analytical; proactive, autonomous and able to prioritize; enjoys teamwork and digital environments; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
