New Building Design & Tender Project Manager

THE ROLE
In charge of managing new ship design projects and newbuilding tender discussions (pre-contract) within the Newbuilding Design & Tender department.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?
• Contribute to the creation of a catalogue of Newbuilding solutions enabling CMA CGM to procure vessels with enhanced efficiency while maintaining economic and industrial viability
• Create and maintain relationships with main shipyards, design office, competitors and all industry players
• Contribute to document review during tender process: Technical specification, key drawings, shipbuilding contract.
• Collect and analyze new-building market information
• Liaise with Design Improvement Office to ensure that latest in-house newbuilding design complies with CMA CGM Standards
• Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis
• Prepare and present bi-monthly alternative fuel Steering Committee to internal stakeholders
• Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations
• Ensure all your duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?
• Master’s degree in naval or maritime engineer or graduated from the merchant shipping school with at least 5 year of professionnal experience.
• Solid technical knowledge of vessel (containership is a plus) design, and operations
• Working experience in a shipyard is a plus
• Fluent English, written and spoken
• Communication and networking capabilities
• Analytical and synthetic thinking
