New Building Project Manager
CMA Ships, a subsidiary of the CMA CGM Group, covers all facets of the maritime business: from the fleet management of the vessels to that of the crew members.
CMA Ships is also a team of experts responsible for implementing innovative solutions and making CMA CGM vessels more energy efficient.
YOUR ROLE
You supervise Newbuildings construction of CMA CGM Group. Containerships vessels and eventually RoPax.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?
You shall:
• Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and régulations.
• Ensure all your duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies.
• Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis.
• Issue comment on drawings for approval in accordance with shipbuilding contract.
• Seek for assistance or experts’ opinions for specific Drawings.
• Follow up:
o drawing approval and work progress for you project.
o extra and credit, specification déviations.
• Pilot the initial stores and spare parts procurement process.
• Manage vessel’s delivery.
• Ensure specifications approval.
• Follow on risk analysis on going projects.
• Report on project’s progress.
• Be in contact with Authorities for ongoing projects.
• Ensure application of feedbacks on the on going projects.
• Propose new standards and guidelines.
• Ensure that vessels are built in respect with all regulations and Newbuild specifications.
For Environment representative role you shall:
• Interface with RSE for environmental topics related to shipbuilding.
For Ship construction related activities.
• Identify, record, and monitor KPIs to be followed up during construction of the vessels.
• Identify environmental rules and regulations that need to be followed.
• Review CMA CGM requirements related to environment.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?
Graduated in engineering, naval architecture or maritime school.
Experience 3 years in maritime industry.
• Project management skills.
• Analytical skills.
• Technical knowledge of vessel design
• Effective verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment.
• Demonstrated willingness to be flexible to change priorities.
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
