Newbuilding Logistics Coordinator

YOUR ROLE

 

As a Newbuilding Logistics Coordinator, you should monitor, manage and optimize logistics flow of New Building vessels, ensuring timely and cost effective deliveries.

 

As per company standards, you shall:

  • Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations;
  • Ensure all your duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies;
  • Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis;

 

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?

 

  • Monitor and align supplier lead time with logistics planning as defined during the coordination meetings;
  • Manage and track all shipments related to New Building Vessel orders from suppliers to in-house warehouse, shipyards, and vessels—in collaboration with freight forwarders, NB logistics supervisors, and other logistics partners;
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records of all shipments and associated cost ensuring data quality;  
  • Organize the delivery of backorders when required;
  • Ensure that logistics process of New Building is respected by all stakeholders;  
  • Monitor and report on the KPIs related to your logistics activities;
  • Communicate any shipment related issues such as delays, discrepancies, or cargo damage to all relevant stakeholders;
  • Handle and process invoices from forwarders or other logistics partners;  
  • Control logistics cost and delivery lead time to achieve economical logistics solution;
  • Monitor the performance of freight forwarders and warehouses to ensure that their service level is maintained as per CMA ships standard;

 

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?

 

  • Graduated of a Bachelor's degree in supply chain or logistics
  • You have at least two years of experience in supply chain
  • Good level of excel is necessary for the role
  • You have knowledge of key transport modes, warehousing, custom clearance and incoterms
  • You enjoy taking responsability and demonstrate autonomy in your tasks
  • You are fluent in both French and English
