ROLE :

You will ensure, in conjunction with various internal departments, the preparation and coordination of the physical stopover of ships, and will be the interface between the Line, the ship, the local authorities, the port services and the handling.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES :

You will be responsible for the interface with the ship. You inform the Captain of the stopover documents he must provide and the local regulations to which he must comply. You will handle specific requests related to the ship, crew and cargo (crew change, various supplies, coordination of local stakeholders on technical interventions) and command port services (lookout, pilotage, towing, mooring).

In addition, you will report dangerous information to the Harbour Master's Office, guarantee 24-hour monitoring of the ship and handling operations, and then produce a constant report to the Lines on the progress of the stopover and the ETD (Estimate Time of Departure).

 

You will also be responsible for the administrative preparation of the stopover. In cooperation with the booking, logistics, cargo flow and planning departments, you collect the export files of the various partners to provide a final export to the central ship planner, send the load lists to the handler, and ensure the establishment of all on-board documentation.

 

As the relay for the Line and the central Ship Planner, you centralise information related to the stopover and order the handling teams.

 

In addition, you will draw up a complete and detailed port call report, and check supplier invoices on behalf of the shipowner (stevedoring, pilot, etc.). You will also carry out physical interventions on the terminal (customs visits, etc.).

Finally, you can carry out statistics by loading port and final destination on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.

 

 

PROFIL ET COMPÉTENCES :

You have a postgraduate degree in Logistics/Transport, and a 6 month experience in the same position. You have good communication skills in spoken and written French/English and good command of Office and computer tools.

You will be in contact both with the Company Departments (Booking, Logistics, Commercial, Cargo Flow, Line Operation) and with the authorities and harbor services, suppliers and crews.

Your interpersonal skills, your sense of organization and rigor, your team spirit and your availability will allow you to succeed in this position.

The position involves travel within the port, and night and weekend work in connection with ship stopovers.
