Temporary contract IT Contract Legal Counsel Specialist

YOU ROLE : 

 

Reporting to the Head of the Contracts Division within the Contracts & Projects Legal Department, you will support the Group’s IT, digital and cybersecurity projects across CMA CGM.
You will be involved in the structuring, negotiation and legal securing of technology-related contracts, while actively supporting the Group’s digital transformation, particularly with regard to artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud solutions and innovative technologies.

Acting as a trusted business partner to operational teams, you will contribute to risk management and to the implementation of a robust and efficient contractual framework.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO? 

  • Draft, negotiate and secure IT, digital, cloud and cybersecurity contracts.

  • Advise IT, Procurement, Cybersecurity and Innovation teams on technology and AI-related projects.

  • Identify and assess legal risks (IT / AI / cyber) and propose practical, business-oriented solutions.

  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments, ensure cybersecurity compliance, and manage digital-related incidents or pre-litigation matters.

  • Train and raise awareness among internal teams, while contributing to Legal Tech, CLM and legal transformation initiatives.

You will develop strong, trusted and strategic relationships with key internal stakeholders and business partners in order to deliver tailored and high-value legal support.

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 

 

  • Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Business Law, Contract Law and/or Digital / Technology Law.

  • An LLM (US/UK) or a business school background is a strong advantage.

  • A successful first experience within a large international group, an IT department, a procurement function, or a law firm specializing in IT, digital and/or cybersecurity matters.

  • Strong expertise in contract law and digital / technology law.

  • Solid understanding of IT environments: cloud, SaaS, cybersecurity, infrastructure, application architecture, data management.

  • Good understanding of AI-related challenges (governance, risk management, compliance, intellectual property).

  • Ability to assess cybersecurity requirements and integrate them into contractual frameworks (audits, SLAs, reversibility, operational security).

  • Comfortable working with digital tools, Legal Tech solutions and contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms.

  • Full professional proficiency in both French and English, written and spoken (including drafting and negotiation).
