Work-study Cost & Revenue Controller

YOUR ROLE

 

90% of global trade moves by sea. Behind every shipping route operated by CMA CGM, there is rigorous financial oversight – and that is exactly where you come in.

 

Within the CMA CGM Group's Europe Region organization, in the "Cost & Revenue" department, your missions will include; monitoring of local revenues, budget variance analysis, linking costs and revenues for recovery purposes, and production of financial reports.

 

Every analysis you produce feeds into decisions with a real impact on the region's economic performance.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO ?

 

As an Apprentice, you will be integrated into a team of four people in direct support of the Local Revenue Manager. Your responsibilities will be:

 

  • Monitor and analyse operational revenues and costs within the European scope (port costs, handling and their rebilling to clients, container leasing) to ensure the profitability of European agencies.
  • Contribute to the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget: identification of budget vs. actual variances
  • Produce regular financial reports for management (dashboards, performance analyses, monthly summaries)
  • Participate in monthly closings
  • Create reporting tools to simplify the processing of large databases.
  • Expected deliverables: two monthly reports relating to recovery / implementation and use of reporting tools

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?

 

Required:

  • Master's degree (Bac+5) – Statistics, Mathematical Engineering
  • Fluent English, both spoken and written (international working environment)
  • Advanced Excel skills: pivot tables, highly advanced formulas, Power Query and BI Analytical rigor and attention to detail — data reliability under all circumstances

 

Desirable:

  • First experience in large database processing
  • Interest in the maritime transport or international logistics sector
