YOUR ROLE

 

Reporting to the General Manager of the CMA CGM DRC Agency based in Kinshasa and the Africa Regional Office, you will manage and optimize the commercial, logistical, financial, and operational activities of the Matadi agency, and pursue all opportunities to generate savings on operational and logistical costs.

 

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO? 

 

 

You will lead and organize the agency's various departments, both operationally and financially, and ensure quality customer service and the optimal use of Group equipment. 

Furthermore, you will prepare the Agency's report for various stakeholders (Agency, Regional Office, General Office) while maintaining and developing frequent and regular contact with headquarters.

You will ensure the proper application of Group procedures and rules (administrative, financial, operational procedures, etc.) as well as the correct use of IT systems.

Finally, you will be the primary point of contact for key local/regional accounts, major suppliers, and local authorities, and will identify new development opportunities.

In addition, you will regularly propose solutions and action plans to develop and improve the agency's operations and local business.

 

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?

 

 

With a Master's degree (Bac+5) in Business, Management, or Logistics, you have at least 5 years of professional experience in the maritime transport sector, either at a shipping agency or at headquarters.

You have developed a professional network within the maritime sector, enabling you to be a respected figure both internally and externally with authorities, partners, and clients.

You have leadership and management skills and understand the strategic aspects of the business. Your interpersonal skills, persuasive abilities, and proactive approach are your key assets for success in this role.

You have prior experience in an international environment. Knowledge of the African continent will be a significant advantage.

You are ready to thrive in a demanding foreign environment.

You demonstrate a strong ability to adapt.

Fluency in French and English and proficiency in management software is a major asset for this position.
