About the Role:
Reporting to: Business Development Manager
Employment Type: 12 fixed term, full-time
Work Location: Melbourne, VIC
As Tender Officer, will support the end-to-end tender process, ensuring timely, accurate, and competitive submissions that align with CMA CGM’s commercial strategy and will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to optimise outcomes and strengthen customer relationships.
The role and responsibilities will include:
- Manage end-to-end tender processes, including pricing, contract negotiations and freight agreements for ANL and CMA CGM group accounts.
- Coordinate all stages of tenders with GBS, agency networks and internal stakeholders, ensuring accurate tariff terms and timely customer responses.
- Maintain and update regional/global account and tender databases, ensuring data integrity and integration into corporate systems.
- Prepare, analyse and distribute regular tender and customer performance reports to Global, agency, state and commercial managers.
- Comply with Occupational Health & Safety policies by following procedures, reporting hazards and actively contributing to a safe work environment.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in the container shipping industry and a broad understanding of ANL/CMA CGM’s business and statutory requirements
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines
- High level of computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and database/spreadsheet tools
- Well‑developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to deal with stakeholders at all levels internally and externally
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing technologies and prepare professional presentations and reports within short timeframes
