YOUR ROLE
The Operations Supervisor for the 2nd shift is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the distribution center during the 2nd shift. This includes managing a team of employees, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining safety standards, and achieving operational goals.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Supervision and Leadership:
- Manage and lead a team of warehouse associates and material handlers.
- Conduct daily briefings to communicate shift goals and expectations.
- Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities for team members.

Operations Management:
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of products in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure accurate order picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.

Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce safety standards and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Investigate and report any accidents, incidents, or near-misses.

Performance Monitoring:
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, on-time delivery, and productivity.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure shift goals are met or exceeded.

Communication and Coordination:
- Coordinate with other shifts, departments, and management to ensure smooth handovers and continuity of operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members, providing clear instructions and feedback.
- Resolve any operational issues that arise during the shift.

Administrative Duties:
- Prepare and maintain reports, records, and documentation related to shift operations.
- Assist in scheduling and workforce planning to ensure adequate staffing levelWHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Capability to work in varying temperatures and conditions within the warehouse environment.
Work Schedule:
- 2nd Shift: Typically from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM BUT MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH TIMES AND AVAILABLE FOR NEEDED OVERTIME.
