General Manager for Paraguay & Uruguay

Plata Cluster is looking for a General Manager for Paraguay & Uruguay.  Paraguay & Uruguay  GM will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our business operations, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring the achievement of company goals for those countries reporting to the Cluster Manager located in AR. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong track record of success in managing diverse teams and delivering exceptional results. The BM will be located in Montevideo, Uruguay, and is expected to travel to Paraguay as part of the role.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to the organization in Paraguay & Uruguay.
• Develop and implement and drive business strategies to achieve company objectives and growth targets.
• Oversee daily operations, including sales, marketing, finance, and human resources.
• Foster a positive and inclusive company culture that promotes employee engagement and development.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor industry trends and market conditions to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on business performance and strategic initiatives.

  Qualifications / Skills 

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Logistics or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior management role, preferably within the Shipping, Transport or Logistics industries.
• Demonstrated experience in successfully managing relations with local authorities.
• Demonstrated success in leading and growing a business.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Strong communication skills
• Strong understanding of the local market, regulations and business environment.
• Suitable combination of the above will be considered.
