Sr Security Operations Analyst

CCMA CGM Montreal is looking for an experienced Senior Security Operations Specialist to join our global cybersecurity team, who will play a pivotal role in integrating new services, products, and platforms into our security ecosystem. You’ll provide strategic and operational support for these integrations, ensuring teams are equipped to manage and operate them effectively. You will also serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for security solutions owned and monitored by the Security department, overseeing their evolution and maintenance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Collaborate on RACI models and process documentation with project teams, ensuring alignment with the SECOPS scope.
  • Act as a technical expert and continuously review the configuration and maintenance of:
    • Endpoint Security
    • PKI
    • Email Security
    • Microsoft Security Tools
    • Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
    • Privileged Access Management (PAM)
  • Define and document system security requirements.
  • Provide Tier 3 support, including assessment, consultation, and implementation of security solutions.
  • Develop and maintain standardized operational procedures and guidelines.
  • Deliver team training on new technologies and tools.
  • Occasionally consolidate data and contribute to security metrics reporting.
  • Stay current with IT security trends, technologies, and standards.
  • Promote security best practices and act as a cybersecurity ambassador across teams.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE LEGALLY AUTHORISED TO WORK IN CANADA: VALID WORK PERMIT, PERMANENT RESIDENT OR CITIZEN

 

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Cybersecurity & Cloud security Certifications are an asset

 

Knowledge & Experience: 

  • 10+ years of experience in IT, including 3–5 years in a cybersecurity-focused role.
  • Proven ability to apply creative solutions in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of:
    • Endpoint Security
    • WAF
    • PKI
    • Microsoft Security Tools
    • Email Security Platforms
  • Experience in risk assessment and related tools, technologies, and methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of standards and regulations such as NIST, GDPR, and ISO 27001.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities and clearly communicate prevention strategies.
  • Advanced knowledge of firewalls, web proxies, and network access control (NAC) an asset
  • Familiarity with SOC operations.
  • Understanding of SIEM principles and tools.
