YOUR ROLE
Responsible for ensuring established quality standards are maintained within the contract with the primary goal of increasing quality, safety, accuracy and process efficiency. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
• Follow work instructions as set out by the QA Supervisor and EQS-Quality Manager.
• Verify incoming, in-process and outgoing product with customer requirements.
• Validate parts and materials to blueprint and all required specifications by utilizing approved meteorology methods and maintain calibration standards.
• Record inspection results and maintain accurate record filing systems.
• Perform stock purges on nonconforming product as identified and directed by the customer.
• Action discrepant material (return, sort, rework, scrap, provisional release) as directed by the customer.
• Assist on-site customer and government quality assurance representatives.
• Assist in improving the EQS-Quality systems supporting ISO and OHSA standards and identify and assist in preventive action, process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Meet customer expectations of quality, safety, service and value criteria.
• Maintain quality performance data supporting QA Metrics tracking and performance improvement.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
• Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED; Minimum two years related experience.
• Associates Degree preferred; Minimum 1year industry experience
• Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
• Knowledgeable of ISO 9000 Quality Standards, inventory management systems, validation of parts and materials to blue print specifications and measurement and calibration process inspections.
• Exposure to statistical and weld inspection / validation
• Familiar with OHSA and WHIMIS, Third Party Warehousing, Materials Management, Logistics, Auditing and Customer Service
• Accurate typing skills and/or data entry skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of U.S. or international currency, weight, volume and distance measurement.
• Characteristics: Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in demanding environments with tight deadlines. Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs.
